• To enhance the availability and accessibility of good quality affordable healthcare services in the State, the Government has planned to develop Affordable Healthcare facilities in all the 30 districts under the PPP Mode. International Finance Corporation (IFC), a part of the World Bank Group is advising Health & Family Welfare Department on this project. These facilities will be either 100 bed or 200 bed hospitals with a focus on high volume secondary care services as well as emergency and critical care services.
• The health infrastructure & services status of all the 30 districts in the state were studied, gaps were assessed. The district profiles describing the status of healthcare infrastructure & services of all the 30 districts are placed in the next section for reference.
• Government has identified 25 locations for development of the Affordable Healthcare facilities in PPP mode.
